Wojtek Pawlusiak wins Sofia Rail Strike 2007

Loop Rail Strike 2007 was the first downtown rail contest held in the capital of Bulgaria.  The location was smack down centre of Sofia, on site on what used to be one of the most popular skate spots in the country. The format of the event – chilled jam sessions.

The finals were held on the 20th of December 2007. They continued after dark and although the temperature wes well below freezing a numerous crowd gathered to enjoy the snowboard action, the music and good vibes of the contest. Wojtek Pawlusiak from Poland threw down some sick tricks on the rails and rightfully won the 1st place along with the € 1.400 cash prise. His good friend Bazsi Takacs came second, and third – Bulgarian ripper Mario Benio, who stomped all his tricks with a lot of style. On the whole – December 20th was an extraordinary snowboard night at Sofia, which we will not forget for a long time.
